"Really? Gee, I'd never have guessed!"
Oh. Right. A Boris Vallejo type Eowyn. Except she's wearing too much covering for a B-V female anything 🙄
Edit...just saw Frazetta's name....OK, but she's still wearing too much clothing whether it's a Vallejo or Frazetta drawing 🙄🙄

Frank was always big on bulging muscles and . . . things. Here are his orcs:

It seems there was a distinct lack of trousers in Mordor too.

I will say many attempted to copy his style, including Boris, but none of them reached anywhere near his level.

These are from a limited portfolio he produced in 1975. I ordered one, but it had sold out in days. 😭

I can say quite! Through from our perspective all that nomads were more likely…Northmen maybe? 🤔
BTW,there would be an Immortal Land in the east of the sea.The position of land and sea really makes a big cultural difference!

Those artworks are LOVELY!! Love the one of Aragorn and Arwin particular, reminds me of some old tales……

Yes, the orc picture is terrible, but I have to say, here I find some stuff pretty interesting. I don't care now why Eowyn took off her pants. Anyway, this picture kind of motivates me to look very closely, so several hours after processing Eowyn's thighs, I noticed that the Witch King is wearing a strange symbol on a chain. What should it mean? Some kind of Baphomet symbol?
He also has a sweet, little baby dragon on his helmet - I guess no one has noticed that yet.
The mace looks imposing and dangerous, so the overall image is successful, even if it is full of sexual innuendo...
Tolkien didn't see this scene as sexual, I suspect.

That does look nice! Reminds me of the RoP style depiction. Is that what either is based on?
Yeah I would say so. Somewhat Morfyydish tohough not an outright photographic copy. It's a good thing the Cate Blanchett imagery of Galadriel over the last twenty years is changing some.
