This art of Fëanor is interesting in that he's looking straight at the viewer rather than off into the distance somewhere. And he appears to be in a thoughtful mood rather than raging at his circumstances or being intense over a crafting project.

I'd imagine he was more like this when he was with Nerdanel, earlier in their marriage. She had to find something good in him. I kinda get the feeling she was the only woman who would put up with his garbage as I'm otherwise baffled why he'd choose someone described as "not the most fair of her people" to be his wife. Then again, she was also a peerless artist so maybe he really didn't judge others on their looks but on their skill.

I used an AI art generator to make these. They're pretty good. The manga ones look a little youthful for my tastes but were awfully pretty.
