what is your favourite scene in the two towers?

ohh well one of my favorite ones is when Aragorn has to pick Gimli and throw him in the air and after that Gimli ask to Aragorn if he could avoid telling Legolas about that.

Both the 'dwarf-tossing' incidents were PJ's inventions. The first one in FotR, Moria, almost cost Gimli his life. He refused to be tossed by Aragorn and was saved only by Legolas grabbing him by the beard (also a no-no). In the Two Towers he tells Aragorn to toss him, showing that he has grown in humility and also in respect for Aragorn (he was also wearing a ridiculously long - and heavy - hauberk). As Glory points out, his humility does not extend to 'the Elf'! I hope the RotK film accurately reflects the growth in friendship between the Dwarf and Elf.

Helms Deep, for obvious reasons. Call me shallow, but it was stunning.
OK you're shallow. But I agree, it was stunning. It was also pretty much how I visualised it from reading the book (except for the storyline changes).

Yes, same here, except for the caves in the back. It didn't feel overlong, yet timewise I think it was.

I like it when Treebeard just STOMPS on that orc like a bug..I think that's hysterical!

I love the battle of Helm's Deep..But the part I like best is when all the Orcs are lined up, stamping their feet and spears..The men behind the wall are lined up with their bows raised..The tension is building..and that old man just let's the arrow fly. Then the action begins...

Gandalf's fight with the Balrog..absolutely!

That's exactly my favorite! I got chills (again) just reading your description! I can't wait for Pelennor Fields!

My favorite part was the battle of Helms Deep. I thought that Gimli was very funny at the beginning of it. I also liked how the elves were there too.

One of my favorite parts in TTT was the moments before the battle at Helm's Deep. You can feel the tension brewing and it just kept me on the edge of my seat.

The other was when Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf go into Theoden's hall and take over the place. It made me smile that the friends stuff together.

I also liked the Forbidden Pool scene. When Gollum/Smeagol was singing his tune there "Nice and cool, in the pool...."(I think that's how it went) when he was catching a fish and got captured by Faramir. I felt sorry for him that Frodo lied to him.

I have a couple more but that's all for now....

I also love the sound of the rain as it starts to fall and hit their armour. Just a tiny little detail, but it fits so perfectly.

Love Theoden's, "Where is the horse and the rider," etc.

LadyRanger, I believe Gollum's song goes, "Rock and pool, is nice and cool. So juicy sweeeeet. My only wish, to catch a fish. So juicy sweeeeeet." I love how he whacks the fish on the rock so enthusiastically when he's singing it.

I loved how in awe Sam was when he saw the Oliphaunt. And while on the subject of Sam, I also loved: "His gardener!" when Faramir asked if he was Frodo's bodyguard.

And while on the subject of lines that probably make a whole lot of people cringe I also loved the toss scene.

I loved how Gollum would cough gollum gollum while he was speaking.

The "bitter watches of the night" scene with Grima and Eowyn was wonderful. Also loved Eowyn's "cage" scene with Aragorn.

I absolutely can't wait to see the scenes with Boromir in the EE. Those are the additional scenes I'm most looking forward to.

If Frodo hadn't agreed with Faramir to have Gollum captured, he would have had him killed.
Wouldn't you have felt sorrier, if Frodo had not misled him? - he didn't lie.

phee, i too LOVE the part when you can hear the rain on their armour! isn't that a specific detail that tolkien described in the books? it just gives me goosebumps!

I love the scene between Aragorn and Arwen in the Dream. I makes me feel so much hope for both their love and the fate of middle-earth

Aragorn.....doors

He looks totaly sexy (gives me the chills)
Does anyone know how old Viggo and Aragorn are. Both ages?

Aragorn was in his nineties ( I'm lazy, can't be bothered to check the date) and Viggo is .. 44 , born 1958
