This was released by Obsidian a few days ago and it looks really interesting: The game is set in a small town in Bavaria about 500 years ago. It's a role-playing game, where the player investigates a murder. It has a very unusual art style, which in this case means that it basically imitates the book illustrations of that era. Pentiment was developed by Josh Sawyer, who was so far also responsible for prominent games like Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity. Here is the official website of the game (for PC and XBox):

They were discussing this on NPR today:
Looks interesting, and may appeal to Tolkien lovers, though set in early Renaissance Europe.

It was an interesting concept and the animation was cool but mostly just clicking through dialogue and pretty boring to me when I played it.

There's already a thread on it.
I do like Obsidian games but this one seemed a bit too out there, not much for gameplay. The narrative apparently was brilliant though.
The only one in the genre I'm eager to try is Disco Elysium.
