What would that syndrome be called?

I can give an example interms of a old cartoon.

In real life it might be people who can have black fingernails or goth make up (However that doesnt needlessly makes them evil since their heart doesnt have to be (Example is Eric from The Crow who is generally a good guy but became a victim of a tragedy), but if they have that evil character trait aswell, then... it might be adding to that.

This is also a theme, from a tale as old as time. "Dracula". Which also stems from the old story of Vampyre from 1819 (Good age for goth story telling btw)

I just wonder what one could call this syndrome?

We know what Stockholm Syndrome is, but i have yet heard of "Bad syndrome"?

I think everyone has 'good' and more 'shady' traits, and which one dominates and how they influence their life and others', it depends on many things. I don't think this is a 'syndrome' per say, but perhaps there are some words or 'diagnosis' (or more) professionals would use. But I think the most accurate thing is calling this 'being a human', as @Deimos said, for after all, our past has and how we are has a significant impact on our actions and way of thinking.

It's interesting, because as a self-aware person, it caused a lot of headache to myself. Most people know and see me as a loving, caring, guiding and guarding and often self-sacrificing figure, almost maternal, with a very chill and laidback attitude, nothing can annoy me or 'offend' me, and I appear to have no greed, jealousy or ill will towards anyone, and I'm called empathic, but this all just 'one side' of who I am.

The other side is on an all-in survival mode, no empathy, no pity (not even for my own-self), merciless, manipulative, charming, opportunistic person with a very sadistic and toxic edge. Not spiteful or hateful, not even vengeful, just generally see everyone and everything as a 'nothing' in the face of infinity. Both are me, and yet they are so-so different.

In one moment, I spend hours from my very little free time helping others (often those I don't even know) out in life, or even doing things like straight away rush after someone who forget their purse in the shopping chart, without ever thinking of opening it for money, while in the other I find myself enjoying the chaos and downfall of others as an entertainment, and swallow the 'glory' and 'serving' they shower me with, so much so it grows annoying.

I can see how my past, including the countless traumas I've been through influenced the way I act, and all my 'capabilities' and traits showing off. Whether it is a self-defense mechanism or something else, I'm not sure. But I think that most 'evil' act towards others is a form of 'self-preservation', and while it can be harmful for others, it doesn't mean the person has an inherent ill-will for khm and giggles, but rather to cope with the situation they find themselves into. What also proves this is that when I'm in certain situation, this 'dark' side is in slumber mode, but there are times when it just pops up, and switches, as if the circumstances would demand me to turn hardened, and throw away emotions, pity and mercy. It just happens. Not even as consciously as it may seem. These switches even made me question if I can truly 'love', because sometimes this overwrite the feelings I had, when on 'survival' mode.

Another funny thing is that, I never really liked any positive characters in books, movies, games from a very young age. I always felt with the villains, and since I had a very bad childhood, I believe this can steem from me understanding why they act the way they do, because I went through a lot that demanded me to be like it, or else-

What a gloomy comment.

If you're saying 'what do you call someone who looks nice but acts bad', they're called plastic.

I actually think it was well put.

I guess sometimes movies do put Bad guys as Good guys. (Because while they act bad, they have certain manners to uphold the law) Example. "Cobra 1986" movie. Whereas in some cases, you have people with good manners who act on bad intentions.

So its no wonder why its easy to feel confused sometimes, in the sea of grey areas

If i were to be biblical. The easiest thing would be to walk with "Galatians 5:22-23. But... when it comes to how people practice it. It can be tough to understand it :)

It's really all quite simple. First, you are attracted to bad people because humans love sin. Second, you know you shouldn't be because we have a conscious that signals things are not as they should be and that there is a God.

(Humans were created by God, chose to sin, and are now fallen creatures who, hopefully, may choose Jesus' gift of a 'paid fine' so to speak. AKA the Gospel/Bible.) :)

I was being biblical 😄.

[God] said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent beguiled me, and I ate.” -- Gen 3: 11-13

Would it be a stretch to say that "Face Off 1997" movie is a Christian movie?

I actually made a thread in Green Dragon about it.

I don't know but I know this:
God is in everything so one could say Christianity is in everything. Its why movies/stories/many things like the Lord of the Rings appeal to most - they reflect God, they reflect His characteristics. (example: Godly ideas like self-sacrifice are reflected in Frodo in LOTR)
This is why, as a Christian, I don't watch only so-called Christian movies.
So it might not be called a Christian movie but one can recognize Christian/Godly things in it.

Thus, all movies/stories (probably, unless there is some completely dark, twisted film out there) could be called Christian movies.

As a former hardcore atheist, now a devout Christian, I can confirm this is 100% true and accurate. The moment you actually accept this, you realise exactly what's going on and how you have been scammed into falling for the same tricks over and over again by this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_(god)

There is no being that could get me out of occultism, although I'm not religious, but I've been focusing on multiple deities, angels and demons through my life. It's interesting how well taken care of I am, despite all of it. If anything, I can tell a higher force always makes sure I get everything I need in the right time, right moment, and I just do my own things. Sometimes sinning because I can and feel like it, and often help for the same reason, because I can and feel like it.

Tell me God's love is not limitless. It surely is. 👼

Occultism, fundementally, means everything that is hidden, or overlooked. Personally, I think true, lived Christianity (as opposed to the "Christianity" that people just take on as an identity but don't act on) is pretty much the most hidden and overlooked religious belief there is. Taking the topic back to OP's point, I've seen people claim to be "liberal Christians" who in the next breath leap in bed (figuratively speaking) with the most vile, Satanic people imaginable. From my experience, no matter how well I was doing before, everything improves when you truly accept Jesus' words into your life.

I did end up finding a very useful advice

"In the end, when you are the last to pick the card. You don't wanna end up with the joker"
Well roughly speaking, in Norway we call this term for "Svarteper".

The idea is, you don't want to end up with the worst cards. Same thing is with your mind, feelings, you don't want to mess with that in a way that doesn't benefit a person. Like yourself, family, friends or others

Most of my Christian friends were hating on occultism and tried to scare me with 'me ending on the hand of the Devil' (as if I'd have a bad connection with them to begin with). They found seeking and trying to understand hidden, overlooked things as sinful and something that'll cost me my ticket to Heaven. I've seen a lot of Christian friend's life borderline ruined by toxic parents following the religion (or their stubborn, selfish ideas of how others should live).

One of the most entertaining thing to witness is the reaction of people when they realise they have no control over you stirred by fear, anxiety, insecurity and the desire to 'belong'. At the same time, you may even witness their own downfall, without having to cross a finger.

Or seeing those who dig the Bible, drink the Bible's words, but they fail to live their faith, and even I do it better than them. Which makes you wonder.

I think the only moral panic that i think in retrospective was ridiculous was, banning Harry Potter. Also considering JK Rowling herself seem to have implemented some elements of Christianity into it too.

Because while real witchcraft is sinful in the New Testament (Atleast few examples of acts of the flesh). Although Acts of the flesh is more .. not definitive, they throw them all around in new testament to give certain ideas of what sinful nature could look like. I tend to nickname it "Beast of knowledge" for that reason. Whereas to walk with the holy spirit could look like what is mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23

But fictional witchcraft is.. yknow science if we are being honest, if it was real the way its shown. Same thing with "Worst Witch" i saw on TV too.

One example. Very Christian scene (Even if the name Sorcerer's stone... No no no. Should be Philosopher's Stone.)

The fact God's love is infinite is precisely why He provided a solution for us to get out of the state we brought upon ourselves.

The fact God's love is infinite is precisely why He provided a solution for us to get out of the state we brought upon ourselves.
'Brought upon ourselves' or 'fall into' thanks to what we has been exposed to? Of course, it's up on us how we approach a situation, but we are not always 'ready'. From one perspective, one could say 'yes, there's always an other way', but then there's the raw truth, which is, that sometimes you do your best so ruvive based on what you have and what you can hold onto.

If I'd wield the wrong mindset (one even many Christians have, as strange as it is), I could easily blame God for letting dozens of molesters and and predators into my life, exposing me to straight up assaults multiple times without anyone who could protect me or help me heal from it, taking my father when he was 25, and allowing it to have no proper mother who care about all of I'm exposed to--or what my brother too. Or why, as a young child I had to chose work over school to feed and clothe my younger brother because our mother just spent everything on herself. I had times when I wanted to end it, but no matter how it could end, if I fail, I would not have had pity for myself. I'd have deserved then. No sugarcoating. That's just weakness, with excuses.

In the other hand, it is always up on me how I use the only thing I have real control over, 'myself'. That is, however, my merit (in other words I wont blame God for me doing bad things, but I won't praise God for me doing my best; ultimately, he allowed both, and I do it). No one else's. What life brings into my life that I can not influence, can be above me, may be God, perhaps, and again, I'm "on my own" when it happens, no matter what.

Thanks to all of this, I feel no pity, and no real empathy towards anyone, and it actually empowered something worse I am suppressing since I got more responsibility over myself as I aged. I helped and actually saved many lives through my life, but not out of emotions, sympathy, empathy, but just because I know how it is 'meant' to work. If they'd end up failing or even dying? I wouldn't feel anything. That's how my past shaped me, and hardened me, because pity and empathy means nothing in a world I grew up in, and since it saved me, it works.
I neither have the need for 'love' or company. I adapted to the life I've got, as a child, and I survived on my own, and this was the price. I have no pity for myself either, "I've lived more lives than enough, I haven't died quite as much". This past just taught me you can exist without any of these, and even do better than the ones chasing these. I was in near death situations too, and it actually makes me wonder, why I has been directly saved in some cases, where the reason and way of my survival, and coming 'back to life' has no rational explanation but a divine hand.

It feels weird being in this position. Both walking alongside with God, knowing His obvious presence and how many times He saved me from inevitable death (not just Him, however) but also doing anything I can, like a mischievous, curious, rebelious child to go after my own had, and feel good about it, not feeling bad if I fall. It could make a great story, maybe in a different dimension. But in that perfect dimension I'm having fun with my orc folks. 🤓📖

I did find one trick

Try to imagine that person in a Onesie pajamas. Putting negative thoughts to positive ones.

(Well so far its working for me)
