I mean in terms of additional or supplementary narrative? I have read excerpts and I see Morgoth’s Ring quoted a lot.

I’m interested in things like the Statute of Finwe and Miriel, Finrod’s conversation with Andreth etc.

Presently I own both books of Lost Tales and Return of the Shadow. I take a little from those but I’m always thirsty for more.

I would say Morgoths ring and the war of the jewels. But that is so you can piece together the Silmarillion on your own and find out what Tolkien's late writings were on the subject. Since J.R.R [and not chritopher] Tolkien published his other books to me it makes the other HOME less essential.

Thank you kindly. I will order those rather than spend £125 on the deluxe full collection. For now. 😬😆

I find with Unfinished Tales for example that I can often find something that enriches the legendarium for me. Most recently paying close attention to the Druedain was very rewarding.

I want more lore basically, rather than commentary and scholarly exploration of how the books came together.
