The Witch King's Servant
Rogash was battling the forces of the Black Numenorean when the Witch-King arrived to enlist his aid in his conquering schemes. The Witch-King, with his commander Morgomir, decimated his enemies and spoke to the troll. Rogash claimed he intended to unify the forces of Hill trolls, Snow trolls, and Dire Wolves against the Men of Arnor to take their meat and gold. The Witch-king said that if Rogash pledges his fealty, he will bring together all the trolls, to which Rogash agrees.
The Troll Army
Afterward, they moved to the slopes of the Snow Trolls, where many of them were battling one another. Rogash called their attention. Then, the Witch King urged them to serve him and confront the Black Numenoreans in battle. They accepted and proceeded to slay all the Black Numenoreans near their territory. They advanced north and discovered several trolls enslaved and laboring in a miserable condition.
And so they set them free and established three strongholds to obstruct the way of the Black Numenoreans. Rogash then headed south and encountered a company of Cave Trolls. He also enlisted them to participate in his schemes, to which they agreed. The Witch-king and Rogash charged to their south stronghold to meet the Black Numenoreans who were beginning to strike back against their advances. They successfully defeated them upon their arrival.

The Attack in Amon Sul
Arveleg, who just ascended as king, overcame Angmar after several attempts. He achieved this triumph through the prediction of Amon Sul's Palantir. Because of this, The Witch-king gathered his army's might and charged against Amon Sul. At the same time, he sent forth forces to strike Cardolan and Rivendell to distract his enemies. Rogash leaped over the guards and passed through their protective walls. Back up forces also came for the Dunedain of Amon Sul, but the Witch-King also assembled the Mountain Giants. He also overcame the Maiar guardians of the tower. Afterward, Morgomir demanded Arveleg to surrender then leveled the Tower of Amon Sul with his impressive spells. But Arveleg managed to escape, taking the Palantir with him, while the fate of the Dunedain [2] who fought in the battle was unspecified.
The Assault in Barrow-Downs
Next, the Witch-king assailed Barrow-Downs and attempted to trap the feisty Cardolans. The Vanguard of Cardolan came, the Witch-king initially sent forth Hwaldar, who quickly overcame them. Then, Rogash and the Troll forces decimated them completely. Although the vanguard comprised remarkable warriors, they were unable to take down Rogash and the Trolls. The Prince of Cardolan reached the battle, as the Witch-King and his forces also arrived to challenge his army. The Royal Guard of Cardolan, who was protecting the prince, slaughtered many of the Trolls. Rogash continued to kill plenty of their forces. The Witch-king slew the Prince of Cardolan in a one on one battle, leaving Cardolan devastated. Thus, Fornost was the only remaining stronghold in the lands of Arthedain in Arnor.
The Elves' Counterattack
The strike against Rivendell unified the Elf kingdoms to join their forces and defeat Angmar. With Elrond and Glorfindel commanding the vast Elven armies of Rivendell, Lindon, and Lorien, they advanced towards Carn Dum. The Witch-king set a prompt for Morgomir and Rogash to charge on his aid. As the prompt came, with the Witch-king calling forth reinforcement, Morgomir and Rogash advanced, and they came late. The Elves had already surrounded Angmar, but they saw another opportunity to strike. Rogash and his forces stormed behind the Elves while the armies of Carn Dum opened the gates and charged to the frontlines. Hence, the strategy delivered Angmar from utter ruin.
Victory over Arnor
Later on, the Great Plague festered the lands of Arnor, and the Witch-king seeing the disease weakened the realm, mustered his armies to charge to Fornost, and finally subdued all of Arnor. The forces of the Witch-king came forth to decimate the last standing stronghold. Then, Fornost's front gates fell, and their enemies raised the Shade of Wolf, a deadly Wolf-spirit force of destruction. Men of Bree and the Shire's Hobbit also joined the battle, but the Karsh, as well as Rogash and his trolls, defeated them. Then, the horde of Trolls split from the entire forces and wrecked the city's northwest. They barged in from the west gate and merged again with their army, leveling Gondor's gigantic sculptures and finally earning complete triumph over all Arnor.
Final Defeat
Afterward, the Elf commanders Elrond, Earnur, and Glorfindel, along with an army of men, charged towards Angmar. Rogash and his Troll forces hid in the Snow Troll's slopes to ambush them. The Elf forces came, most Elves and Men died in the fierce sword of the chief of the trolls. Then Earnur challenged him and finally slew Rogash. They slaughtered the rest of the Trolls and advanced to decimate the Witch-king's forces. This ravaged Carn-dum, concluding the utter defeat of the Witch-King of Angmar.
