Tirion

Tirion was a city located in the Undying Lands, also known as Aman. The city was located on a hill called Túna, and it was renowned for its beauty and the skill of its craftsmen.

Tirion was established by the Elf Fëanor, who was one of the greatest craftsmen and thinkers of the Noldor. He was also known for his pride and his intense love for the Silmarils, three jewels that he had created with the light of the Two Trees of Valinor. Fëanor convinced many of his fellow Elves to leave the Undying Lands and return to Middle-earth, where they could recover the Silmarils from the evil Morgoth, who had stolen them.

Tirion was built by Fëanor and his followers shortly after they arrived in Aman. The city was designed to be a place of learning and creativity, and it was filled with workshops, libraries, and laboratories. The Noldor who lived in Tirion were known for their skill in many crafts, including metalworking, gem-cutting, and calligraphy.

Tirion was ruled by a council of Elves, who were chosen for their wisdom and their knowledge of the lore of the Valar, the powerful beings who governed the universe. The council was presided over by Fëanor's father, Finwë, who was the High King of the Noldor. Finwë was a wise and beloved ruler, but his reign was cut short when he was murdered by Morgoth's servant, the treacherous Elf named Míriel.

After Finwë's death, his son Fëanor became the High King of the Noldor. Fëanor was a brilliant leader, but his pride and his obsession with the Silmarils led him to make some disastrous decisions. He swore an oath of vengeance against Morgoth and anyone who would not help him recover the jewels, which led to a series of wars and tragedies that lasted for many centuries.

Despite the troubles that Fëanor's oath caused, Tirion remained a great city of learning and culture for many centuries. The Elves of Tirion continued to make beautiful art and craft objects, and they shared their knowledge with other Elves and with the Valar. However, as Morgoth's power grew and the shadow of evil spread over Middle-earth, many of the Elves of Tirion began to feel a longing to return to the mortal world and fight against the darkness.

Eventually, Fëanor and his followers left Tirion and sailed back to Middle-earth, beginning the long and tragic history of the wars and struggles that are chronicled in Tolkien's works. Tirion remained behind, a glittering jewel in the heart of the Undying Lands, a symbol of the beauty and creativity that the Elves were capable of when they worked together in harmony.
