Page creation checklist
When creating/editing a page, it is good to ensure that you have done all of the following:
- The page is under the correct Area
- You are likely creating the page/category initially under the WIP-section, in that case make sure that it is moved to the correct area after it is done and gets "published"
- The page has an infobox template in use
- Note that in some cases it doesn't make sense to use an infobox. Don't sweat it if that's the case..
- If you create the page under the correct area from the start, it will propose the template to be used
- Tip: When adding info to the infobox, it might be a good idea to wrap names of characters, places, weapons etc in
[WIKI]Name[/WIKI]so that the wiki can list missing pages under https://www.thetolkienforum.com/wiki/Special:WantedPages
- Uploaded/Added an image(Instructions on uploading are below):
- Infobox, if applicable
|image=Image:title-of-the-attachment - To the page entry (when editing a page, under the "Main icon image"-section)
- Infobox, if applicable
- Added it to fitting categories
- Please don't create a lot of new categories unless there are multiple pages that would "fit" there, and it "makes sense"
- Added synonyms for the page
- e.g. Gollum and Smeagol are the same, usually the infobox has something like "other names", those are good candidates for other names
- If the page title has scandics or special characters, please also add synonyms with "english alphabet" characters, e.g. Lúthien has synonym Luthien
- If the page is "plural", e.g. "swords", or "Hobbits" please also add the synonym for singular "sword" / "hobbit"
- If the page title is "firstname lastname" also make synonym for the First name (as long as it is "unique"). example: Frodo Baggins => Frodo
- References
- It might be good to also add some references for the statements that are being made, these can be both links to other pages, or just a text saying which book and page where it is written.

- If you have added references you should also add the following to the bottom of the page:
