There's tons of artwork out there but I figured maybe we could use this thread to share some of our favorites that we've come across by other artists. If you post any, try to give credit to the original artist in your post. I'll start, I found this on Reddit this morning of Turin vs Glaurung.

Great idea! 😊

I posted the illustrations -- too many, perhaps -- of the Russian artist Denis Gordeev, in the Book Covers thread, so I won't do that here (in fact, should I move them? 🤔).

I did use this piece of art to make a meme, but I like it for itself too, so here's the original:

Admittedly, enjoyment may depend a bit on tolerance for fantasy mashups. 😁

From here:

Well, nuts. I thought I'd figured out that you were talking about EA's post, not mine. Now I'm back to being thoroughly confused (which is OK, as it's my normal state).

Are you saying that Moomintroll is depicted as too large, in comparison to Bag End? And he is, in addition, somehow related to Glaurung? 🤔

As there are apparently no humans in the Moomin universe, I have no idea how large or small they are.

Probably bigger than eggs, at least.

Yes, i was referring to Glaurung. You all right?

If the dragon's that big, how big were the Doors of Felagund! Maybe the artist was going for impact here.

Nice painting in any case. The fall of water especially, in my opinion.
