What would have happened if Aragorn and Eowyn had wed?

In Hammond and Scull's Reader Companion to the LOTR, H and S claim that Tolkien at some stage in the writing of the LOTR intended Aragorn and Eowyn to marry. If this had happened in the story, would Faramir and Arwen find true love elsewhere - in each other's arms maybe? Note that's not meant to be taken too seriously as an option!

I'm not sure that JRRT worked on the chapters in the sequence that they appear in the six books. This being book three, perhaps Faramir hadn't appeared yet, that happening in book four. Then there's the bit that JRRT stuck to "Trotter" instead of "Strider" as Aragorn's Bree nickname for an amazingly long time. Maybe Arwen had not entered the story when JRRT was mulling a marriage between Aragorn and Éowyn?

They would be husband and wife. Eowyn would have been Queen of the reunited kingdom and they'd have a few kids and she would die before him. Faramir would likely hook up with a daughter of a prominent Gondorian noble family and would have lived pretty much as he did. Arwen would have gotten the irits at Aragorn for spurning her for the blonde and would head off to Valinor to find some elf lord to hook up with.

Arwen (initially named Finduilas) was a late introduction to Lord of the Rings.
"The great banner of Aragorn is described in the same words as in RK (p. 123), except that in the sentence ‘for they were wrought of gems by Arwen daughter of Elrond’ the italicised words are absent. In the fair copy manuscript (B) ‘by Finduilas Elrond’s daughter’ was added in the margin, changed later to ‘Arwen daughter of Elrond’."

Since it's all speculation, Aragorn and Eowyn's first child would have been named Araowyn.
Faramir would have died miserably and alone of flu continuing to protect against the as yet unseen 'evil that remains,' and Arwen would have pined away into nothingness feeling rejected and entirely alone.
The wise Ent has perceived the intent of the OP in an entirely entertaining manner.

^^^^This^^^^

^^^^and especially this^^^^ 😬
And then she'd nag her elf lord to raise an army and attack Minas Tirith, especially not sparing the King and his bottle blonde hussy. So there. The end.

Witch king: No man can kill me!
Eowyn: I am not a man. I am wife!
