What if Military Scenario- The ⚔️battle at the Black Gate Never Happened

"I am a-quiver with anticipation." (Bilbo Baggins, The Hobbit, 1977 - Rankin and Bass)

(though there's no 'requirement' for me to participate as editor of course. you'd likely do better elsewhere anyway - and who knows, I may be looking at roots rather than leaves by then. But if alive, I will most certainly be buying and reading it - or having it read to me, if necessary!!)
If you are willing, of course I would love for you to look it over. Not sure how much is changing yet, images will come out, non Middle-earth political section reduced to a short summary. A few small sections/citations added.

You are free to send me the manuscript at any time, and I will begin working through it @1stvermont .
(As may be no surprise to you, I may have some few suggestions of my own as well.)
Knowing the direction of your perceived/intended desires for revision as stated above helps, naturally.
As I was about to begin a re-read of it, doing it in this way would be suitable.

(But I AM literally blaming you at this moment for this next comment...)

COMMENT: I currently sit looking at the Prologue of my Middle-earth: Its Religious and Moral Elements book, bringing myself back up to speed and preparing for the next words to be written into Chapter 1. (You may recall, I changed the structure of the Preface, Introduction and Chapter 1 to insert a Prologue as well, given the scope of the work. A little unusual for a book to contain all 3 'pre-chapter' sections, but they are needed I do think.)

So yes, it's all your fault.

Addendum: As you know, my fee to you for services remains the same as it has always been. Inflation has no existence in my world.

I shall gladly accept any blame if that is the direction you are being pushed in. Nudged, directed, forced—anything will do!

I would love to hear any ideas you have for the revision of Road; you know it well. It will be some time before I start in that direction. I was thinking of you the other day when a few more applicable titles for it came to my mind—something to connect Tolkien's Medieval- worldview to Middle-earth. But I might just change the subtitle.

Likewise, in the books, Dol Guldur is overthrown by an alliance between Mirkwood and Lorien only after Sauron is defeated. However, I think even if Sauron was not destroyed, they would have taken advantage of the victory in the South and Sauron at war elsewhere and still captured and destroyed Dol Guldur.
I promise I'll get back to the rest of this, but I wanted to address this:
Remember: Galadriel still has her ring, and it still works. As does Gandalf's and Elrond's. So this makes sense that Galadriel could cast down Dol Guldur as she was able to do so AFTER the One Ring was destroyed.

I'll give it some thought. Perhaps something will jump out in my re-read...we have time.

"What did you say? ..... Time IS the answer..!"

No, I have a few ideas in my head. I can run them by you at some point when I get serious about a second edition.
