Is it really spelled MAIL because I thought mail was what the post delivered to your house. He's not making a specific type of mail, at least I don't think so.
Beautiful!Just picked up Boromir's Dagger.
It's gorgeous... I love it.
Pix... (except for the plaque...I didn't unbox that yet and, well, it's just a wood plaque similar to the one with Faramir's sword.)
Maybe I will post it later.
So, one with the show!

Only the fandom understand this.
Yep, waste of time (and breath) trying to get non-fandom to understandOnly the fandom understand this.
Yep... prop departments take not a few liberties.United Cutlery's replicas of the film props do look to be well-made. I don't remember Boromir's dagger, and am somewhat surprised by the shape: when Pippin draws out his "sword", Denethor recognizes it as "a blade of my people", which would seem to indicate daggers in Gondor would be of the same "leaf-shape", as described in the Barrow-downs episode. Although some of the monstrosities the prop designers came up with make clear they had no more regard for the text than PJ did.
It's interesting that the draft has "seax"; I suggested a possible reason for the change here, if anyone's interested:

That top knife is a custom designed fantasy dagger, meaning the customer told the sword maker what he wanted and the craftsman made it.Leaf-shaped daggers are common in the real world, e.g.

so could be expected in ME. There are historical examples of Leaf-shaped swords, too, but they were normally short, like this one:

I'd expect ME longswords to be like their Medieval counterparts, i.e. straight-bladed.
