I think I am an Orc. Throughout my life, I have proved that I am unable to produce anything of beauty. Tolkein oft wrestled with the idea of whether Orc's are redeemable; I wish I knew whether I was.

I find that I am but a taker in this world, ever drawing from it yet giving little in return. I agree with your statement, and many of us would like to be elves, but deep inside we possess the sad knowledge that we are Orcs—our true nature only masked, never changed.

I think that, deep down, all of us are orcs. Some of us pretend to be elves, other don't, but deep down we're all hateful sinners. We've all messed up in our lives and are undeserving of God's love or grace. But that doesn't stop God from loving us. I know I'm just 14, but I've done a lot of bad things in my life, I've hurt a lot of people with my words. That doesn't stop God from loving me. I just want you to know that God loves, you no matter what.
