I always thought about the burden of immortality, what do you do with your time?
In the case of elves, at least they don't (mostly) have the problem of losing their loved ones, but still, tens of thousands of years is a lot of time to fill in. How don't they get bored?
I know that elves would fade away if remained in Middle Earth and that the fea becomes stronger as time pass, taken over the hroa more and more.
But then, I thought of what Legolas said, that time doesn't run the same way for elves and men. For elves time is both very fast and very slow.
so is it that elves just perceive the time in a different way? Because the fea expects to be in Arda for a very long time, just their feelings and thoughts adapt to that reality? A year or a decade in the life of an elf maybe like a second to a mortal?
