I found an article about Christopher's stance on Jackson's depictions on his father's work. My Father's "Eviscerated" Work - Son Of Hobbit Scribe J.R.R. Tolkien Finally Speaks Out (2012) As you can see, he isn't a fan.

Discussions about the various differences between J.R.R. Tolkien's 'LOTR' and the New Line Cinema screen adaptation.

This is purely humorous, and I wanted to share it with you guys out there who would get it. My favorite line in Wes Anderson's The Royal Tennenbaums is an Owen Wilson line where he describes his book he wrote where the premise is that General Custard survives the battle of Little Bighorn. I...

What would LotR have looked like if Radagast and his Roscobel Rabbits had made it onto the set? The story had begun to grow darker by then. Where could PJ have introduced this bouncy, jovial creation; liaising with Saruman, meeting Gandalf near Bree, spreading Gandalf's news to the birds and...

Well it appears that Peter Jackson has been feeling a little creative lately, and has started inserting his own characters into The Hobbit's storyline. Once again that old chestnut of there being "too few female (read: none) characters" has reared its head, just like the expansion of the Arwen...

Here is the second of Peter Jackson's Video Blogs.

In which parts of the film do you expect to see Jackson at his best?

I've said for years that I worry most of all that Jackson's version of The Hobbit would have the same feel of his LotR. That he wouldn't give it the same feel of the book. But what little specific things might he leave out or get dead wrong? I worry about the songs, and the silly...

Well I ended up finding out at a video game forum that the movie has been given the green light for production to begin and that Jackson will direct the two films. Its all available at ToRN http://www.theonering.net/ And umm not only that but Simon Pegg has been making more remark about...

http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/news/a196498/peter-jackson-prefers-games-to-films.html His LotR films might have been disapointing at times, but I am a fan of much of his work. I think he is highly talented in a way that would suit games. If he is as passionate about this as he claims, I look...

Translated as Red Cliff I and II http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425637/ Tells a tale of Chinese History and Mythology, really made Peter Jackson's LOTR look like child's play. A condensed (2-movie) LOTR or an expanded Two Towers. DISCLAIMER: most likely do a lot of harm to horses, but the...

I just has to post this...I'm not sure if I think the Queen of England is insane or brilliant!:D ************************************************* Call it the Return of the Queen. In a host of end-of-year honors, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson and Star Trek...

Hello fellow Tolkein fans, I like most (if not all) of you have seen the New Line Cinema LOTR Trilogy. I personally feel it is extremely well made, with the right ammounts Hollywood-ness and accuracy to the storyline to make it a success. But there is one bit in the movie that ruins the...

Guillermo vs. Jackson as Director I watched my first Guillermo Del Toro film after hearing that he is likely to direct The Hobbit. It was one I had wanted to see anyway, so it worked out. After seeing it I think he will make a better film than Jackson. While Guillermo and Jackson are good at...

December 18, 2007  There's just too much to post, so I'll link the article here: PETER JACKSON AND NEW LINE CINEMA JOIN WITH MGM TO PRODUCE “THE HOBBIT” The film site, http://www.lordoftherings.net/, has been updated to include the announcement as well. (Thanks to Chrysophalax for...

I'm amazed that this kind of thread hasn't been thought of before! Anyway, for openers: Studios bid top dollar for Jackson's latest film By Lorenza Muñoz and Claudia Eller, Times Staff Writers May 2, 2007 Dark adult dramas are highly risky bets, but four major studios are clamoring to...

Though it looks pretty certain that PJ won't be the one to direct the beloved LOTR "prequel", let's discuss this anyway. Based on the changes he implemented in the three LOTR movies, what do you think he would have done with the Hobbit? And which parts do you think could be omitted (if...
