you all know that turin killed melkor in dagor dagorath. a forum member said that turin in dagor dagorath is much stronger and superior than turin in first age. do you think so? and is turin turambar stronger and superior to fingolfin in the battle of dagor dagorath? please don't say dagor...
You all know that Turin was only 8 years old when the battle of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad took place. So why didn't Tolkien bring Turin turambar to a more mature age when the battle happened place and take battle with his father Hurin? Don't you think it's a great shortcoming that turin is not in...
When Turin Dor Lomin also killed everyone in the hall after the rebellion, did he wage any war with the eastern descendants after he left the hall? A war like the wars he waged with the orcs in the forest of Brethil?
In dagor dagorath, turin turambar is the one who will kill melkor. Moreover, in the same battle he kills melkor, which even tulkas could not defeat. However, since fingolfin could not defeat melkor and only crippled it, why do most people on this forum and on the internet think fingolfin is a...
Why were Turin's northern marches in Doriath and his battles in the brethil forest not named? Do these wars have names? Didn't Tolkien name turin's battles in the forest of Brethil?
According to the last written texts, Turin fights in the War of Wrath and kills the Ancalagon with Earendil. So what happens to Turin after this battle until the Dagor Dagorath prophecy? Where is turin kept? what does turin do until dagor dagorath?
This topic may have been discussed before. But in this article, I think the author says that Turin was both in the War of Wrath and in Dagor Dagorath. What do you think? Was Turin present in both of these wars?

one is the one who will kill the melkor and the other is the one who leaves the melkor lame. one is the best warrior of the men and the other the elves.which one?
Is there any source that the turin turambar inherited the power of tulkas? one site said it was rumored that the turin inherited the power of tulkas.is it true?
I have seen a lot of artwork depict Túrin as a bearded man, but does that really make sense?
He is described as having been mistaken for an elf by the people in Nargothrond, and this most likely meant that he did not have a beard, since the elves typically don't have a beard (except extremely...

Does anyone else feel bad that Turin got shafted from killing the one being who royally messed up his life in the Dagor Dagorath?
I sincerely feel that Turin alone, with Gurthang in hand, should be the one to deliver the killing blow to Morgoth.
But nope.
I have fan-fiction though. ;)...
Wind sweeps over the red crown of Amon Rûdh,
Rain pelts down in the brown woods of the outlaws;
Loud roar the tears in the rocky floods of Teiglin.
That man beneath the tall helm and the warlike mask,
How shall we sing for you the wintry songs of grief?
Enwrapped in the past, distant in dark...
I was looking for somethings about Dagor Dagorath, and it said that Morgoth would be killed by Túrin stabbing him in the heart with his blacksword (I forgot the name), but I don't remember any reference to what happened to the sword after Túrin's death.
Was it buried with him, or the elves...
(ooc) Considering a Shire-centric story, eventually heading out into the Wilderland. Set about twenty years after the end of the War of Five Armies. Handfuls of hobbits inspired by Bilbo to set out and see the wider world in and around their home, so there'd mostly be Men and Dwarves as far as...
The following quote is from a rejected part of Turambar's Tale in Christopher's comments:
But Linwe hearing that curse cause the gold to be cast into a deep pool of the river before his doors, and not for very long did any see it again save for the Ring of Doom [emended to: The Necklace of the...
OK so some of those poll options are perhaps a little bit frivolous but there is an interesting question. Does Turin make his own mistakes, or is his fate inescapable because Morgoth's power is too great? Or indeed, that Glaurung's was too great?
