I will probably watch all the episodes again, shortly before Season 2 comes out.
Notes will be taken, thoughts thunk.
Then I'll watch season 2. I feel it important to know what's there, for a number of reasons all of which have been discussed in the dozen or so other threads on this topic here in the Forum.
I will enjoy what I find enjoyable, and ignore what I find unsuitable to my own tastes and opinions.
I suspect my greatest enjoyment, and concern at the same time, will be once again observing so many people losing control of their own personal passions and restraints, intent on venting vitriol (complaining) over things they both feel and determine they can do nothing about (both of which ideas are incorrect.)
One thing Season 2 is sure to do, is release the Kraken... we just all need to prepare ourselves for it according to our knowledge of ourselves, and of the nature of others.

Elora wanted to watch through the episodes again this weekend, and we're half way through it. Some of the things that mildly irritated me when I first watched doesn't seem to be as bad as I initially thought. Elrond has grown on me, though Celebrimbor has not. The best parts are the dwarves and Khazad Dum. Some of dialogue though really is bad, like the whole 'The Sea is Always Right' line...
Having watched the three PJ movies a couple weeks ago, I'm seeing these two projects more as C average equals. PJ had a complete book to make his movies from and he eff'd it all up, taking away core parts of the story and adding his own fantasy creations into it. Rings of Power folk had bits and fragments and was limited on what they could use, and made a reasonably decent fanfic, albeit with some crap dialogue.
