If you look here: http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/ and look something up, you get a timeline (as per thread attachment). I read a few mentions of some kind of Armageddon confused: ) at the end of the History. What exactly happens at the end. If The Lamps are the beginning of the timeline what's that symbol at the right hand side in the picture attached?

The attachment doesn't really work, but I guess the end of History is the Last Battle.

The attachment is small but that's the way it crumbles, I just wondered what the symbol at the end of the timeline was.

I've heard about the Last Battle but what happens at world's end? Did Tolkien ever record the end of Arda?

It took me quite some time to find it; there are really many threads with 'last' and 'battle' in it. So you really don't want to use the search function too much...

I was wondering could somebody explain me how to use this search function?

Just clivk 'search' (top of the screen), and then type some words that you want to search for. You can specify how you want the results to show (as posts, or as threads) and how old the results should be. You have more luck if you make a quite specific search; I first tried to find the Last Battle thread by typing 'last' and 'battle' but that got me like 250 threads, so then I specified it with 'Turin', since I knew that Túrin had something to do with it, and then I found it.
