From the Book of Lost Tales II: Of Turambar and the Foalókë
And truly is it said: "Forsake not for anything thy friends – nor believe those who counsel thee to do so" -- for of his abandoning of Failivrin in danger that he himself could see came the very direst evil upon him and all he loved
In this version of the Tale Failvrin is Finduilas.
Is friendship a truly sacred thing then. Are friends irreplaceable? How do you know that someone is your friend? Should you anything to stand by them when they are in need?
Che pensi tu?

I think that it was even worse in Turin's case since Finduilas was his 'lover' (Or at least his 'love' someone who he was in love with) and they were a lot more then 'freinds' I think it was stupid fate working against them.....

To me friendship is a bond between two minds of as if one and the same person.
True friends think like each other, understand each other, care for each other no matter whether one has commited a mistake, a crime or killed somebody ( ;) )

It's great when one has it and this is why losing a friend leaves a wound open for life - it never heals.

Inderjit S: ...and they were a lot more then 'freinds' I think ...
No, Indy! Nothing can ever be more than friendship!
Love - least of all!
