Amazon is a company and is incapable of reading a book.Amazon even didnt read the Silmarillion.
Well, it would have been better, if they have made an Earthsea -serie instead of a Lord of the Rings serie...what Amazon made there, would fit perfect for Earth See books, but not for Tolkiens books.Amazon is a company and is incapable of reading a book.
Bernard Hill seems to agree.
Welcome to Tolkien Forums Child of Varda! An interesting insight on Galadriel. I agree she is portrayed as being rather rough and in a sort of comic-book way in Rings of Power. Not how I would see her at the time.Personally, I'm fine with Galadriel using weapons in the Second Age. Personally, I imagine her more as a Gandalf-type counsellor in the Second Age who takes up a sword in necessity rather than a military commander but I like to see Galadriel with a weapon. However, I had many other complaints about her character, especially because I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say she seemed bad at pretty much everything else.
Also, her whole pride and desire to control others as a character flaw feels a bit undercut by making her basically a murderous maniac.

Wait.. what?
Oh Wow..It looks like Adobe was in on trying to promote The Rings of Power. I'm guessing they commissioned someone to illustrate that in Photoshop and put it on the loading screen (or whatever it's called) for version 23.5.5.
Gimli's axe have more character development them Rop characters.
Yeah... I totally forgot about that.I note too, in Jackson's film, Gimli's axe started off as a reluctant axe, refusing to strike the One.
That's my interpretation, anyway.
Nonsense. Even taking the articles implication that the 'maturity' is referring to an emotional maturity, and granting what can be told from from Amazons stated time (1000 years after the defeat of *Morgoth) and utilizing the most (I think) generous in Amazon's favour of the aging schemes of Tolkien, *Galadriel would be 20 at the rebellion/exile, + ca. 1600*/144 = @31 years old, not " little more than a young human adult"One more interesting curveball we have to touch on here is the concept of Elvish aging and maturity. In the book "The Nature of Middle-Earth," Tolkien breaks down a mathematical formula — yes, a formula — for how fast Elves mature. While the numbers are complicated, the primary takeaway is that Galadriel's maturity level is little more than a young human adult during "The Rings of Power" story. During "The Lord of the Rings," she's matured into an elder statesman. It seems that this lack of maturity in a younger Galadriel was present in the minds of the writers as they developed their younger iteration of the character for the show.
