🧝Galadriel in the Amazon Series

From Wikipedia on RoP:

"A large international cast was hired, and filming for the eight-episode first season took place in New Zealand, where the films were produced, from February 2020 to August 2021 (with a production break of several months during that time due to the COVID-19 pandemic)."

Hostetter's "The Nature of Middle-earth" was published in September 2021.
That makes the comment quoted by Tar-Elenion from Jaron Pak's article among the most irrelevant and imbecilic mental diarrhea I have ever read from an apologist of the media trolls.

I've studied this scene for many arduous hours, and it looks like this grumbling Gimli grabs someone else's axe to glonk the One.

his own axe being "reluctant" I guess

So he can soon say to Frodo: "and [you have] my axe"

Reactions: Ent
I completely spaced on that.... Gimli offering Frodo his axe.

Gimli: "And [you have] my axe."
Frodo: Dwarf, you no longer have an axe to offer. You think I just fell off the Shire turnip truck? You midget mountebank, you pint-size prevaricator.

Okay. . . so did Jackson's Gimli borrow his neighbor's axe here? Or did he have two?

And most importantly: I don't care!

Some really interesting things on this thread. I have not seen ROP (and probably never will). It seems there is a consensus that Galadriel's character does not fit in the mythology. She seems to fit the ubermensch mold, which in the mythology would be a recipe for corruption and villainy. I ran into this video before reading the Silmarillion (it was the catalyst) and LOTR the last time, and has totally changed the way I see it.
