I know i might be reaching. But after reading Galatians 5:13-26
It got me thinking a bit? In the New Testament they call it Act of the Flesh (Sinful nature) and Fruits of the Spirit (Sinless nature)
Now thanks to a video game called (Jade Cocoon intro) on PS1, it helped me understand these meanings. I dub it as "Beast of knowledge" vs "Pure knowledge".
But in the movie "Face Off 1997". You got two characters
Castor Troy is a legit disgusting person, he might be charismatic, funny and loving what life has to offer, but he also is destructive and usually end up hurting others on the way
Sean Archer however, is more of a troubled individual, having lost his son, he is driven to bring Castor Troy to justice. And while he might be overbearing over his wife, due to that loss. He still legit cares for them.
I dunno. Maybe i am overthinking it. But i did find lots of parallels to the two natures. The primitive nature vs the innocent nature. Its a good movie i think. A little over the top, but good.
And "John Woo" is also a devoted Christian, but maybe its a coincidence. Let me know if you agree or disagree?
