I was just wondering why this HoME place is so broken up (even intimidating maybe)? It seems to generate little activity; and maybe that is the reason. Seems that it might generate more discussion if there was just one comprehensive (yet simple) HoME thread; being that there is some great stuff to talk about; though in more “general” way. No biggie, only curious. Just re-read “The Wanderings of Hurin” again (forgotten how good that was); and had a few thoughts (though not terribly important thoughts) .

It was broken up because people are crazy. "Oh, but they are separate books! How many pages long are each of these books? There's plenty to write about just one! More sections of the forum is more impressive! So many possibilities!" I told them that it makes no sense to separate things. I still think that there should just be one section to write about Tolkien type books, Middle Earth-oriented or no, one section for movies, one for the creative side of fans, and one for everything else. *crosses arms*

Also, what, your thoughts on Hurin's Wanderings weren't important enough for new threads? No thread already existed that touched on the subject?

No, it’s really not worth starting a new thread for; it was just my overall point of view this time around. It’s only the second time I‘ve read it; and it’s been a while. Let’s just say that the first time through I felt sorry for him; this time (for various reasons; along with later writings including offing the last petty Dwarf) I did not….actually, quite the contrary. I’m curious as to why my POV has drastically shifted this time around . Well, I am getting old and bitter .

I agree that it would get more action if it were one HoME instead of 12 seperate ones.....

Or, perhaps, devide it into 3: the early Silms & Lost RD., TLORs Section & the Later Quentas & Peoples (plus other) Essays - nevermind, too confusing?
