[Jimbo Baggins]

Ramble On by Led Zepplin talks about Gollum and Mordor and earth and weather. Sorry for going on and on.

Ah Heilung! Arrived here to bring them up. Don't know if it's the region but those Scandinavians really seem to work well with Tolkien.

The wild piper Ian Anderson had something for everyone (almost) on that matchless album "Aqualung":

I bought my first stereo system (vinyl) back in 1978 - still have the speakers. And certainly had the LZ II vinyl by then ...
reading LoTR was 1983 (German translation) and 1985 (original paperback).
So I certainly missed LZ's allusions to LoTR for several years ...

Wow! Has it really been this long since I -- or anyone -- posted something on this thread?

I noticed a number of harp covers of Enya's piece from way back in 1991; here's a nice one:

[Annatar]

"Composed by Jeremy Soule, one of the best video game music composers of our time."

I can only agree with that. And even if it was produced for some computer game, I think this soundtrack fits perfectly with Middle-earth.
I would be delighted if you know any similar tips.

Acoustic cover of Blind Guardian's song 'Noldor':

They also did a cover of 'Nightfall' and 'Thorn'.

[Server Room Gremlin]

The 'barrel song' sung by the woodland Elves in The Hobbit. I like the melody.
