My Sewing/Cosplay Projects

I like knowing more about the different time periods and seeing the tremendous amount of work you put in to your projects.
Thanks for your feedback! A blog post series about the making of the Christine Rooftop Dress is on the list for the near future. After that will be Star Princess.

I second this. The more recent history of clothing is something I don't know much about.
How do you define "more recent?" Do you mean post-medieval? Since you seem fairly knowledgeable about ancient and medieval armor.

Maybe you could do a post explaining how you prepare and plan for your cosplays, such as determining all the different necessary elements of the outfits and the tasks that will be needed to accomplish all the details, deciding what fabrics to use, etc. It could be of use to people who are maybe inspired by you to attempt their own cosplays but maybe don’t know where to start.

May the 4th be with you, everyone! Here's a throwback to when I met Hayden Christensen in 2019. He seems to me like a really sweet person. He was very complimentary of my dress and artwork. 🥺

Hayden is the only celebrity I've personally met so far and I don't have interest in meeting a whole lot of others. I love his enthusiasm for Star Wars and how nice he is to the fans. I also have a ton of respect for how he's kept his cool despite being bullied by haters, and he doesn't have a social media presence, and he mostly minds his own business on his farm in Canada with his kids. He's such a wholesome guy!

Very cool! That's awesome that you have sewing skills too! I need to get back into sewing too; I haven't sewn anything in a few months.

I go in fits and starts with sewing… I made all my clothes for holiday last year but then didn’t touch the machines for six months to recover… I don’t have a lot of time at the moment but do like “a project”.

I'm similar. I tend to go through intense bursts of sewing (usually motivated by a deadline) and then I go long periods of time without sewing. To me, sewing is hard work and takes a lot of physical energy, unlike writing and singing which are more relaxing to me.

I managed to salvage some stage armour from a bin at work that I’m planning on renovating into something new too, but that’s more like hard labour sanding and painting, that sewing!

No, full time opera singer, but have friends in all aspects of theatre.
Sewing is a hobby, but talented professionals are nearby to plug with questions and get tips.
