🪦 Patrick Stewart

Patrick Stewart, ‘Star Trek’ Captain and ‘X-Men’ Superhero, Dies at 86

He’s forever known for playing Jean-Luc Picard and Charles Xavier, whom he “admired for their morality, for their kindness, for their sensitivity, for their compassion.”

I first became aware of Patrick Stewart as the Roman General Lucius Aeolus Sejanus in the BBC TV mini-series ‘I Clavdivs’ (Claudius) in 1976.

Remember him in 1981’s ‘Excalibur’ as Leodegrance, and 1984’s ‘Dune’ as Gurney. And of course as Captain Picard in the Star Trek universe and Professor Xavier in the Marvel universe.

Rest in Peace Sir Patrick Stewart.
