Questions regarding roles of Númenórean women in their native culture.

For a project: is there anything specifically known about the roles of Númenórean women during the island's existence? I know many of the Númenóreans were sailing masters and ship-builders, masters of many crafts including forging and various arts and sciences, and the technology of Númenor greatly outstripped the rest of Middle Earth. But would a woman have gone sailing? Would a woman(more specifically one of the nobility and of the Faithful inclination) have joined her husband on any voyages?
I know many Faithful left Númenor for the Haven of Pelargir, but that's not the same type of voyage I'm meaning.
Any insights or hypotheses are welcome!

The short answer is no, women did not go to sea.
Slightly longer answer:
Women's "...great delight was in dancing (in which many men also took part) at feasts or in leisure time. Many women achieved great fame as dancers, and people would go on long journeys to see displays of their art. They did not, however, greatly love the Sea. They would journey in need in the coastwise craft from port to port; but they did not like to be long aboard or to pass even one night in a ship. Even among the fisher-folk the women seldom took part in the sailings. But nearly all women could ride horses, treating them honourably, and housing them more nobly than any other of their domestic animals."
