I don't recall the name Morgoth popping up in any of PJ's stuff. I mean, he is by definition strictly First Age, so should be off-limits for RoP. Under that assumption, one can only come across the name Morgoth by reading, at a minimum, the posthumously published "Silmarillion".

it's true, it's true. there are so many fundamentally 'wrong' things within this question it's hard to even imagine it crossing any 'ordinary reasonable person's' mind.
Well, it fits both links on this page. The one I commented on (Morgoth vs. the Whit Council) only dealt with reading JRRT's own writings wrong. The second one must have members of about half a dozen university faculties tearing their hair ... 😖😖😖

I'm trying to figure out where to put a thread like that. Obviously, it would be best to encompass both RoP, and PJ's adaptations as well as other LoTR, The Hobbit adaptations that mention First-Ageitems or terms.
