When Gandalf fell into the abyss in Moria he there went through some tunnels. He says after that these tunnels where made by ancient creatures. Not Gandalf nor Sauron knew about them and they were elder than these two wizards. He did not named them. Does somebody know something about them or just some thoughts.
Also I want to know was the ME flat or it was like a planet - round?

well ME is just the contintent, Arda is the planet, we call ours earth...at first it was flat, but due to the stupidity of the Númenoreans (save only the fathful) when they tryed to attack Valinor Ilúvatar changed the shape and nature of Arda and it became round!
