they may have indeed walked, as they were only just recently awakened, thus were in the prime of their strenght and endurance... we do not know how long the journey took.. maybe Orome summoned other horses for the three elves?
Ok, from a bit of botching together with help from the appendices in The Silmarillion, I got it down to 'power demon'. Panic over
*********
EDIT- Or as the case may be 'Demon of Might', which I could've just found out from looking up the definition of Valaraukar in the appendix. Duh.

My sonny !!!
Oh, ... it could be a present again, my friend! It can be!!
I've returned ... Master Grond has come out of the underworld ... Why don't you, too?
Maedhros, I'm picking on Feanor in the most horrible way in the Silmarillion forum. You better get over there and set me straight. The thread is the poll thread on who was the rightful king. If Feanor is to win, you'll need to vote in a hurry. You know that I voted for my boy, Fingolfin.

Jeje. Grond has to come out of the underworld, after all his master is from there.

You never learn do you. Arguing about Fëanor in the Sil Forum would seem like the good ole days, but alas those are gone and the reason that I left is still there.

Sonny, whatever that reason might be, I am sure it is not within the community of the Guild. Right?
So, I think that it will be wonderful to have you and your valuable knowledge shared with us and here, too.

Reading about their community and about the arrangement of the Shire, the social, economy and political life in it, one would expect all of the Hobbits to be more or less equal.
Yet, there were wealthier and poorer Hobbits; there were masters and servants ... or at least Hobbits who worked for other Hobbits (not as slaves of course! )
I am waiting with interest to read some info about this in that "Ecoonomy of ME"- project of Gil-Galad!
But meanwhile ...
Thoughts?
