The Never Asked Question

I am doing some research for a writing and my question is:

Does Tolkien anywhere in The Lord of the Rings mention the specific words "Children of the World"? If not does he make reference to the word "children" in some content?

He does once use the words "Children of the World" in Appendix F of the LotR

He refers to Men and Elves more often as "Children of Eru" or "Children of Ilúvatar" though he does not do this in the LotR.

I don't think 'the world' is used much in LotR, as it has too many connotations with the here and now. Tolkien uses 'children of God' quite a lot in 'Letters'; being free, outside of the story itself, of his self-imposed expunging of religion from the LotR; but I can't find reference to 'children of the world' in them.

Who really was Eru Illuvitar and what did he create Arda for? Did he take any incarnations in Ea?How the Children of Illuvitar were created?

I have my doubts as to whether those questions will ever be answered.

This is my selfmade ancestor tree of Eru...

Yondo-hinya is Eru ...

I don't think that this has been asked in TTF before:
What is the "Osanwe-Kenta"?
I leave this as a homework assignement to our fellow guildmembers.
Here it is ...

Was there ever a "time period" or any passing of time between Eru's creation of the world and the beginning of the Ainulindale?

You have the question the wrong way round. The Ainulindale is/was the Music of the Ainur where the whole of the future-history of Arda was sung/created.

As for the time between events from the start of the Music to the Creation of Arda, there certainly was great preiods. However, as time is not measured in the Timeless Halls, we have no idea of how long the music lasted or how much was shown in the vision as we are only told that

From The Ainulindale

After this Eru created the world with a single word “Eä!” This did not require any time whatsoever as we see

Once they had entered time started and

So there was indeed much time between the end of the Music and the Creation of the World, much of it with the Ainur/Valar working on that creation.
Yes, I suppose. Eru might have created the world in more than one day. I think so because Tolkien based Ainulindale on The Bible.

Did he?

Not “Based on the Bible” but based on many sources, including the Bible.
