The Rings of Power Has Five Seasons

They just don't know how to do the series.
We have seen in Game of Thrones (and other series), that it's not a problem at all to create 3-4 separate storylines that connects at the end.
They just don't know how to edit, how to establish characters, how to write interesting dialogues... they are clueless.
And yes, Got have many flaws... Martin himself, in my opinion, have many flaws in the main story... but in comparison to Rop, it looks like a masterpiece.
Maybe that's why HotD(season 1, at least) was much better compared to GoT for me.

I watched Hotd few episodes only... I think 7 or 8.
Can't really agree.
There's no interesting witty characters like Tyrion, or characters that force you to hate them (like Joffrey)... the world seem smaller, and I think Got dialogues was better.
But it's not bad series overall.

For me it's worse then Got, but way more mature then Rop.

I think for what it was(courtly gossip and such), they did well. The most interesting part was it showing House Targaryen in all it's glory.

Ha... after following seeming non-sequiturs into a weed-filled ditch I finally figured out what is this "HotD" of which thou speakest....
Yeah, they don't like talking about Rings of Power. 😆

An interesting discussion came up on reddit over the legal speak of the Amazon/Tolkien Estate agreement for making the TV show... Amazon may be contractually required to make forty episodes, which means they will make the remaining 24 episodes. The numbers for the show would have to be really bad to non-existent for Amazon to opt to break the agreement and take on the legal costs compared to paying to make the remaining episodes. They have everything set up in England now, and they have the actors under contract for now, so maybe they will decide to fast-track the rest of the episodes.
