I was just thinking, what if when Elrond had come up with the plan to destroy the ring, and Frodo got there, and dropped the ring, what if the power of the ring had melted into Mt. Doom, and Mt. Doom became the ring, because the lava of the ring was now combined with Mt. Doom. A silly thought, but I found it funny, although I imagine the results would not be good.
