I always think Maglor needs a baby to hold...🥺

Finwë with Galadriel, Angrod, Argon, Ambarussa, Curufin, Celegorm, & Aredhel, by Morgan Rogers

Nerdanel the Wise, by Tatyafinwe
My favourite of Nerdanel as she was described as being...well, rather plain for an elf.

The Dark Tower, by Alan Lee.
In the books, the top of Barad-Dûr was supposed to be swathed in smoke and clouds.

Finwë together with a bunch of his grandchildren (they would have been 16 all told?) is a nice thought - though by human standards it's disconcerting that he looks more like an older brother than like grandpa! 😳
But after having read JRRT's wide-ranging and mutually incompatible musings in Part One of Hostetter's NoMe, this bunch all looking so close in age, preschoolers to at most early grade school, seems very unlikely.

THIS WAS INCREDIBLE! Animated versions are pretty much the safe way to go with making something as huge as the Sil into a video! Man that was EPIC. 💪

If you like this, there’s a whole thread dedicated to talking about how great The Silmarillion would be/is in anime style.😃

How far apart are they from each other? I couldn't make it through the mathematical calculations.

Here is a favorite comic of mine exploring the beginning of Maedhros and a young Fingon's friendship that will have profound, lasting affects! 😄

I didn't even try, what with the concepts being mostly incompatible with each other.
One thing I remember (from one or more variants) is that the time between siblings increased with each one.
Celegorm was 3rd child, Curufin 5th, Ambarussa 7th; not sure where Argon belongs, Aredhel was 4th child; Angrod was 3rd child, Galadriel 5th.
And how far apart in age were their respective fathers, Fëanor, Fingolfin and Finarfin?
Birth dates could be centuries apart in Sun Years ...

This comic is one of my favorites too, as it parallels their Thangorodrim story nicely. I’ve found several comics by this artist that I quite like too. Does anybody happen to know who the artist is?

Ah, thank you! She does a TON of art with Silm characters, mainly the Finwians, and I enjoy most of what I find of her work!

That face looks familiar ... but not from any of PJ's films. 🤔
