An artist I follow, rinthecap, has been drawing Silm characters in traditional Vietnamese clothing. Super pretty!

All her art of Glorfindel is incredible.

Here's my favorite by her:

And the caption is great, too. "Me: Hmmm... dirk... *Sketches a foot-long dirk* Nah. *Erases dirk. Draws four-foot-long shiny sword*"

Wow. Those are great. But they make me wish even more for a series of Studio Ghibli Silmarillion movies!😭

They would definitely nail the aesthetics, emotion, and feeling of life for such a story. I would LOVE to see the Silmarillion done justice in such a format!

I'm a bit ambivalent about these mangas/animes.
On the one hand, the general consensus is usually captured well here, but on the other hand it quickly becomes a bit arbitrary...
So I'm already looking forward to the anime that lends its name to "Helm's Deep"...

Brothers in the study hall

Maedhros and Fingon on the left, Celegorm bothering Caranthir on the right, and finally a very small Curufin laughing at Maglor's sleeve trailing in the ink.
