Tolkien Artwork

[Elvenrock]

Hello fellow LOTR fans.
I thought this might be a good place to showcase some lovely artwork by an original artist who goes by Stranded In Starlight (uses no AI - real art from the heart) who loves all things LOTR.

I prefer it, when Tolkien related artworks don't copy a look that was already established by film makers.

Thanks for stating your preference. For some people, the films have brought the characters to life in a new way. I respect you viewpoint.

There's room for both.

[Child of Varda]

This is one I found with Sam and Bill by Emily Austin. I really liked this one because Sam looks a lot more like how he is described in the book than, for example, what we get in the movie. I also liked how gentle Sam looks.

I agree! That's why I was elated to see how much Deadalic's new game differs from the film's versions.
If they haven't been posted yet:

Interesting depictions. They seem very stiff looking in the photos you sent, so I'd be interested to see how they appear with animation.

There's a one second clip.
Not gameplay, but a cg cutscene. Animation nonetheless I suppose.

Elanor the Fair, daughter of Samwise Gamgee by Jenny Dolfen

I always loved the linkage between Elanor and Galadriel's gift to Sam. Sam spreads Galadriel's special dust around the Shire and...

"All the children born or begotten in that year, and there were many, were fair to see and strong, and most of them had a rich golden hair that had before been rare among hobbits."

It thought it was a tree or sth he planted because they were all burned up?
Either way though it is beautifully written.

The gift was a box containing dust and a single nut. Sam uses the dust as Elvish fertilizer to bring back the Shire in record time, and the nut grows into a mallorn in the place where the Party Tree had been destroyed...

"...the only mallorn west of the Mountains and east of the Sea, and one of the finest in the world."

Might have been shared before but found this webcomic of Ainulindalë

J.R.R. Tolkien's Ainulindalë — Evan Palmer Comics

Adapted from Tolkien's amazing words, the first chapter of The Silmarillion spans the mythological creation of Middle-Earth and its gods. Told here with loving care and reverence in 54 full color pages. Original story by Tolkien, not owned by Evan Palmer. I was interviewed about the book &nbs
