As for myself, I prefer to fall back upon Gandalf's words of wisdom-- applicable in any universe.

Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement.

Technically I'm not dealing out death and judgment. I'm finding satisfaction in a fictional character experiencing death & judgment. Since this is a fictional world, with fictional characters, acting in a fictional way, I take satisfaction in people getting their comeuppance in ways I can't in the real world with real-world moral greyness and real-world uncertainty. It's the only time I CAN find it satisfactory. Revenge, in the real world, is never truly satisfactory and comes at real costs.

The Hall at Bag-End by some guy who wrote some stories.

Lovely Ecthelion art.

I'm enjoying the music.

I wasn't sure where to post this anime LOTR opening, so putting it here:

LotR-book covers by Heinz Edelmann, the same guy, who was also the art director of the Beatles-movie Yellow Submarine.

[Sword&Sorcery]

Saruman the White, part of an Isengard/Orthanc piece I’ve been working on. Hand painted ink on paper.

I was going to paint him “of many colours” but decided to honour the style of the iconic Christopher Lee.

Wonderful.

[Maedhros_Nelyafinwë]

Putting this here because costuming is an art form! I really admire this cosplayer's recreation of Arwen's "Requiem" dress. Which is absolutely my favorite LotR costume and I've always wanted to make my own.

Recently found this art. I was looking up Celegorm, Curufin, and Caranthir and found these. I posted here some of the ones I very much liked. One of them is Maedhros, but the rest are either Celegorm, Curufin, or Caranthir.

I know I've said it before, but I really wish a publisher would produce an English LOTR with his illustrations.
