Unfortunately I can't find a clip, but last night I watched a episode from the BBC WWII series "World on Fire", and there's a scene in which a Polish refugee boy is excitedly telling the English lady he's staying with about a great book he's reading: The Hobbit.

I've been reading the Odyssey recently, using Robert Fagles' translation. Looking through the acknowledgments, I saw the audiobook was read by Sir Ian McKellen.

Tolkien got his own category in Double Jeopardy today ("Talking About Tolkien"). Only one contestant chose from the category. I don't remember all the clues, but one of the responses was "Who are the Inklings?" in response to a clue about the group Tolkien's discussion group. Another was "What is Ronald" in response to a clue about which 'R' Tolkien was called in his family, which nobody answered correctly; one answered 'Reuel'; another answered 'Robert'.
