Tolkien Moments

Saw this on Quora and post it here because it reminds me of someone (sans beard):

Most of these clues seem to be Frodo-related.

Posting this here because a reddit called ParanormalEncounters is the last place I'd expect to see a Tolkien reference:

'I saw a gollum-like creature on the roof of our school'

That reminds me of the time I saw Ghan-furi-Ghan standing on the wing during a flight.

I alerted the flight crew…

…using my best “believe me” face, but for some reason they just weren’t buying my story.

A Tolkien moment but not a particularly good one:

Didn't like the first movie, didn't see the second and will not see this one, but it's cool that there's apparently a cat named Frodo in it.

Another weird one. Was visiting my mom in the hospital and turned on the TV. Just for the heck of it I turned to Cartoon Network even though I had no reason to expect anything good would be on. To my surprise they were showing The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy from the early 2000s, which I remember as being reasonably entertaining. Then the episode titled "Beasts and Barbarians" came on, in which this happened:

"Amateurs" is too generous (or forgiving).
More like literary ignoramuses.

It seems like nobody ever gets the Tolkien clues 😕

Another totally unexpected moment. I looked up the lyrics to the Metallica song "Here Comes Revenge" on the lyrics site Genius.com and got this:

Happened to catch this on YouTube and wondered if it was a popular meme or something. Also wondered what the joke is. Anyone seen this tee before and/or know what the year TA 1669 signifies?
