In my PE class, after we had finished everything up, a bunch of people were blasting Christmas music on their computers, including two of the most annoying songs of the season, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and "Last Christmas".
Count your pre-Christmas blessings
It could have been two of the most annoying carols plus the most annoying carol ever : The Little Drummer Boy ...aarrrgh... gag-me-with-a-spoon 😖
We now return you to our regularly scheduled programming....
I don't usually watch reality shows. However, my nephew is one of the guys who ties the knot on Married at First Sight, so I'm watching it this season. It's kind of neat seeing people you know on TV.
Yeah apparently he’s been dreaming about making this since the 70s or 80s, paid like $119 million to make it himself. It has some decent cast like Adam Driver, John Voigt, Aubrey Plaza, to name a few. But I didn’t think it was very good.
Saw two films recently. Out of curiosity I saw Pixar's Elemental to see if it was as bad as I'd heard. It was, imho. Pixar continues to astound with its animation, but I found the characters unlikeable and the story messy and unengaging. Also, there's not even an attempt at world-building. What a waste of technology. The film was a bomb, incidentally.
The other movie was Robot Dreams which I watched because it was recommended in one of the user reviews I'd read for Elemental. This one was not much better, imho. For one thing there's no dialogue, which is okay for a short film but this film is 1 hour and 42 minutes, and it feels long. Most of the film seems like filler. The film is very nicely animated, though.

I saw it recently too. Absolute mess. One of the very few times I've almost decided to leave before the end of a movie (and I have a very low bar when it comes to movies!)
Apologies for the double post, but I'm sitting in front of the TV watching the Australia vs India Cricket Test match and I think the game has a brand new superstar in the young Indian batsman Jaiswal; currently on 95 not out and has been effortlessly swatting the much-vaunted Ozzie bowlers all over the place.
Wonderful stuff.
Very strange film. Starts as a movie about Teddy boys, turns into bleak science fiction. Joe Dante talks about it here:
I saw it at an SF convention. It's on YouTube:
Well worth watching.
