What are you watching?

According to the Wiki article:
The screenplay, written by William Harrison,[8] adapted his own short story "Roller Ball Murder",[1] which had first appeared in the September 1973 issue of Esquire.
So now the $10 question is, where can that story be found? Is there an archive of pre-web issues of Esquire?
Esquiring minds want to know....

I just watched Judge Dredd, I've never read any of the comics, but I thought the film was pretty good.

Decided to rewatch Twin Peaks. Episodes 3 and 4 last night. I had forgotten how creepy it is.

You know, I've always wanted to watch Twin Peaks, and never had the time.
But I've read up on it and I guess the consensus is that some seasons were far better than others.
So, do you agree with that and, if so, what would you recommend for me to watch?
Bear in mind that I only have a very general and limited knowledge of the show's concept and know nothing about the characters or setting.
(Except that it is , or can be, kind of creepy / scary. Which is fine because I like creepy/scary as long as the atmosphere is achieved more by relying on affecting one's mood and not on physical gore.)

It's been a while since I watched all of Twin Peaks: original series, movie, and reboot series.

In my best recollection I think I enjoyed the original series the best.

It's a unique blend of very creepy, soap opera stylish drama, quirky characters, and comedic moments.

If you start with the original series I think you won't be disappointed. PlutoTV is showing it free (although the frequency of the commercial breaks is a bit annoying.)

Roger dodger. Thanks 🙂
I'll probably pick up the DVDs (2nd hand) and watch it my leisure (now that I have leisure 😁)

Rewatching Mr. Robot for the first time since watching it as it released originally. Still one of my favorite TV series. It's awesome watching now and seeing all the premonitions and hints to what's going on and understanding them since I know what's actually occurring.

I recently ordered the DVD "Kind Hearts and Coronets" (made 1949) .
Best version DVD is one by Criterion Collection. There is a BD --can't recall the maker-- that gets a lot of 👎).

It is a wickedly funny British dark comedy with a great ending twist.
I have watched it at least a half dozen times, but back then I rented it (when you could rent Tapes and DVDs).
But now I own it...yeeeeessssss!!! 😁

And why (you may well ask) would anyone re-watch a movie that has a twist at the ending, once one knows the twist and the surprise factor is gone?
I will tell (and show) you.
For this reason:
Remember these pics from the other thread?

Alec Guinness portrays eight different characters in the movie (in that last pic he plays a woman).
They are all members of the D'Ascoyne family whom the protagonist (played by Dennis Price) has decided to murder because they stand in the way of his inheritance, he also a D'Ascoyn but much farther down the trough.
The story is told in flashback by the murderer, now in prison, convicted, and awaiting execution by hanging.
And that is all I'm going to say about the plot.
Alec Guinness, as always, shines. And that is what makes it worth re-watching, even if it weren't a very entertaining story. But it's that too. 🙂

Makes sense, Jedi can usually disguise themselves well 😉
Maybe.
But I daresay we should NOT use Jedi as a standard for acting ability, as is so pathetically demonstrated by the cringissimo performance of Anakin (Hayden Christensen)
