What are you watching?

There was a summer where I watched this series in its entirety. I rewatched it for a 2nd time. I loved this show back in the day. I just started to sing the theme song, and it has been around 14 years since I have seen the show 😄
Agreed. I recently ran out of things to watch and decided it was time to rewatch Psych. I now cannot stop humming the intro song. I forgot that it was one of the best shows I have ever seen, and one of the funniest.

(If I post something else it is not because I finished watching Psych, but because I have a bad habit of watching too many things at the same time. I keep telling myself I must refrain from this, and never actually do so)

Assumptions are the mind’s fast food — quick, greasy, and always seem like a good idea until you’re halfway through wondering if that was wisdom or just indigestion.

You’re right, sometimes you can look at something and know it’s not your flavor. Happens to the best of us. But that’s the trick of assumption: it’s the instant ramen of opinion — ready in minutes, lacking in nutrients, and yet oddly satisfying to wave around.

You might say, “But Klaatu, if the egg looks rotten, why crack it open?”
Fair point! But sometimes the egg just looks off because it’s from a different nest. You can’t tell the whole omelette from the shell, and more than a few fine things in this world were unfairly tossed before breakfast.

And you know what they say about people who assume…

Actually, no one remembers the rest of that saying. Everyone just stops after the dramatic pause, nods sagely, and feels clever for a moment.

So by all means, skip the egg if you must — just don’t pretend the nest was empty.

Klaatu
Former Minister of Unscheduled Sunsets
Chief Archivist of the Great Marshmallow Uprising
and Sole Survivor of the Paperclip Accord of ’79 (the other one)

It wasn't empty. It was just empty of meaning. And full of the same plot line over and over agian. No difference in how, where, or when. No matter how long it's been, they still repeat the same plot line. Don't tell me it isn't the same. It's always a dangerous new hybrid dinosaur that's supposed to be terrifying, but it's so dumb that it can't even catch it's own prey. I've been waiting for a decent plot line, but most new movies nowadays suck.

I said I had an opinion.
Master Scamilton, no offense meant, none taken.
Yes, you did say you had an opinion. Ent lived in the realm of opinion for countless decades as well.

Ent just lives now by two principles:
1. If something is worht saying, it's worth taking a long time to say, and;
2. Opinion is mankind's greatest enemy. Perspective is the path to growth.

(OK, three principles.)

3. Let us not be hasty.

Receive my encouragements to move beyond opinion to perspecive as they are intended... to move us past stagnation, and toward growth instead.

Next time, Ent will select a pathway to wander other than eggs. There are many of them... myriads in fact.
(Would not want to deprive you of fresh, new excitements along the way.)

Well, got a 2nd watch of Jurassic World Rebirth.

As expected, Ent saw things not seen the first time, and enjoyed some of the work done in some parts of the film and filming.

That said, it remains for Ent the least liked of the series.
And, Ent remains entirely mystified by the "Rebirth" part of the title.
Rebirth of what? All the animals are dying, and nothing presented seems to make any change in that particular 'concern' presented at the beginning of the movie.

Ent may need to write up a brief essay of this one, speaking to the issues he finds with it overall. Never thought he'd say such a thing... but the movie just falls short on many levels.

It will be worth a 3rd, and possibly 4th, watch to find more things not yet noticed in the first 2 times through.

You typed ‘perspective’ three times hoping meaning would appear. It didn’t.

Rebirth. Because they're sayign it's just a remake of literally any other jurassic world movie. Also, the interviews with Scarlet Johansen annoyed me, whcih ik has probably nothing to do with the quality of the movie, but still.

I very recently finished the Raiders of the Lost Ark and am working on the Temple of Doom. I have watched all the Indiana Jones movies and decided I wanted a rewatch. I watched Star Wars after Indiana Jones. I hadn't watched Indiana Jones in a while, so I had not only forgotten some of the plot, but I forgot how absolutely terrifying it was. These movies are very adventurous and keep me on the edge of my seat. I personally rate Indiana Jones to be a 10/10. Incredible movies. I enjoy the fact that it isn't all terror, there is quite a bit of comic relief.

Here's a fact: John Rhys Davies appears on Raiders of the Lost Ark. It is remarkable how the Lord of the Rings managed him to look so short. In Indiana Jones, he is very tall. I knew he was taller, but I found it quite shocking how much he appeared to have grown. He is very loyal to Indiana Jones like he was to Aragorn in The Lord of the RIngs.

Indiana Jones is definitely in my list of favorite movies.

I remember I watched these when I was 6 and got rlly scared when the guy touched the ark and his like face melted off or something. idk i havne't watched them in a while.

OH... Ent did finally manage to watch Zontor The Thing From Venus by the way.
It was...interesting. Appealing to the human's 'better nature' once again comes through, producing a satisfactory result and saving a man, and mankind, from destruction. Yay humans.

Still have to get The Cosmic Man watched, though.

Yes I remember. That scene truly terrified me as well, but the scene that actually gave me horrible nightmares was the first sacrifice made in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Same but it's now one of my favorites lol. One that always terrified me where the Wheelers from Return to Oz.

Yes. after rewatching it, I fully agree.

Now I am rewatching Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (yes, I am on an Indiana Jones watching spree at the moment). I have 10/10 reviews on this movie. Incredible scenery, especially the part where they all fall down 3 waterfalls on a boat after riding off a cliff. Indiana Jones truly is an incredible trilogy. Again, strongly recommend this one, as well as all other Indiana Jones movies lol.

And yes, that is Cate Blanchett on the cover, if you saw her. She played her character very well, unsurprisingly.

This morning I got caught up (mesmerized by) this absolutely stunning video of a man skiing down Mt Everest. Very beautiful capturing, and definitely inspiring!! Now I want to go out and hike!

(It may seem a bit clickbaity, but the actual video is nothing but amazing perseverance against one heck of a mountain.)

Maybe. I'm skeptical. But who am I to judge?
