Foreshadowing is rather a grand word for this particular manifestation of PJ's personal proclivities!
As I've said before, I would have expected PJ, from New Zealand, to be aware of English idiom, so I must assume he deliberately used, and now re-uses, this particular word which is used idiomatically by English adolescent boys in a sense which I presume I cannot detail here!

A simpler explanation is that PJ referred to the Australian 'sport' of dwarf-tossing. This is a contest where a real-life dwarf (padded and with a crash helmet) is thrown onto a mattress. The longest distance wins.

My favourite part in FOTR is where the Nazgul chase Arwen and Frodo to the river and get washed away. Awesome!

In TTT it is early on when Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are chasing the Uruk-hai. Superb scenery showing how far they tracked them.

I just got the extended dvd version and I think that scene where Legolas takes a bite of the bread is pretty funny! It reminded me of a commercial! When he said "One small bite can fill the stomach of a man", that just sounded like a commerical!! To me the whole movie is awesome!!!!!

I like the part when Gandalf says" YOU SHALL NOT PAAASS!," the part when everybody is in Rivindell and theyare looking at the ring, then Gimli tries to break the ring and his ax breaks and the part when Sauron gets the ring cut off. I can't decide. I like the whole movie.

I agree siptfire7 it is hard to decide what my favorite part is but I love when Gandalf says that. I also love it when Legolas says "This is Aragorn, son of Arathorn". It is so cool how he rolls his r's

I like the Amen Hen scene where Legolas shoots an arrow through one Uruk's throat and it went throught the other one following it. Then, he takes an arrow, stabs the first one, and then draws back and shoots the one bhind it in the head.

i dunno know if this has been said but the bit where the birdge is falling and gimly jump just after saying ''no one tosses a dwaf'' and the they grab his beard and he well ''NOT THE BEARD'' lol
