They were later joined by Hadhod, Elegost, Dúnedain ranger, Eaoden, from Theoden's Guard from Rohan & the Rohirrim Morwen. Once she was able to heal Berethor, she accompanied him to obtain more weapons, food & medicines to help him recover completely. Together they became quite powerful & were positively able to compliment each other’s strengths and their weaknesses. This is why when Saruman betrayed them and sent Orcs & wargs to destroy them, they were able to keep them off and kill them. They were constantly attacked in Eregion, & the Isengarders were easy to defeat for the powerful duo. Although they were enough to defend themselves, after they had crossed Eregion, they added another member to their travel group. In the midst of the Misty Mountains, they found Elegost. He was an archer & also a healer. He could heal with these powers and also had a great skill to defend ranger attacks.
Elegost joined the group to get the help he needed to recover the map from Moria. They successfully were able to recover the map from the Mordor Orc that was stolen during the middle of a fight. Following the route of the Fellowship, they crossed Misty Mountains & reached Moria with the help of the map. During their journey, he also came across his old dwarf friend, Hadhod, who was attacked by a cave troll. They killed the troll & recovered Hadhod from an area where a lot of boats had been abandoned. All four of them then continued on their journey together to Moria.
While on their way to The Great River, they are attacked by several Orcs & trolls and are able to defeat them. But when the Watcher attacked them, they were able to defeat him only a second time. They also came across the Lord of Moria, & was crushed in his tomb, only to discover that The Balrog is after them because he thinks that Gandalf is with him. Since he is actually after Gandalf, they decide not to interfere too much with his battle, because they knew that the Balrog would easily kill them. Gandalf ultimately slays the monster only to fall down himself too. Returning to their actual cause they are quite disappointed when they find that Boromir is dead. When they tried to exit on their boat, Aranel shot down an Uruk that was trying to attack them.
All of them were left wondering who was offering them protection when Idrial said that it would not be possible for her to stick around them all the time. That is why she decided to ask Aranel to keep an eye out for them. Everyone was grateful to her, and they went on further to help Gandalf on his quest. On their way they say that an elf had laid down its life, while others were still alive trying to save them from the Uruks that were planning to attack them on their journey. It was a short battle albeit successful. When they finished fighting them, they traveled to Rohan that at the time was the house of the Lords. They decided they needed riders to help Gandalf & Eorner travel as it would not have been possible for them to move on foot. Morwen joined their group while they were looking for riders. Berethor finds herself drawn to Morwen’s charm but when she realizes that Idrial was frustrated because of this, she talks to her to make things better among them.
