Nordri

“Nordri” is a character in a video game. He is the son of Nordinbad king, Gorin. Their kingdom, Nordinbad, can be found near the Grey Mountains (also known as Ered Mithrin). Nolan North voiced over Nordri in this game. The main characters involved in this game are Eradan, who is one of the Dunedain; Andriel, whose mentor is Elrond; and Farin, who is a crossbow expert and has powerful skills. Other non-playable characters are as follows: Bruni; Beleram; Gloin; Baranthor; Armenel, and others.

Nordri was a typical dwarf who carried an ax at battles. His reddish helmet and armor were similar to Gimli. He appeared to have broad eyebrows, brownish hair, and navy-colored eyes. His beard length almost covered half of his body. Nordri came from the Longbeards. Nordri belonged to a royal family. He was an heir of the Nordinbad kingdom and was born before the Third Age ended.

Sauron had a loyal wizard, a black numenorean called Agandaur. He wanted to rule over Nordinbad. He was obsessed with the kingdom, so he threatened Nordri and Gorin to surrender it to him. It happened during the so-called War of the Ring. Agandaur pledged he would not kill them if they agreed. He would do anything to conquer the kingdom of Nordinbad. The king of Nordinbad furiously cannot believe what Agandaur offered. He refused the deal immediately. Agandaur, in his anger, cursed them. He said that a fiery doom would annihilate the kingdom. Nordinbad's kingdom fell into anxiety.

Due to this threat, Nordri went into a journey to find an old-age weapon for re-activation. He believed that re-activating this weapon would defeat Agandaur. It was their only hope! He traveled to Mount Gundabad even though orc troops were residing at the said mountain. In this event, he needed to be of courage for the sake of his kingdom.

Nordri, together with Bruni and other companions, encountered a lot of enemies; trolls, orcs, and Uruk-hai at the mountain. Finally, Nordri and his companions found the weapon. Before they were able to re-activate it, their enemies attacked again. Fortunately, three fighters came to help. Their advocates were Andriel, Eradan, and Farin from the places of Rivendell, Dunedain, and Lonely Mountain. Nordri informed the three fighters that in case they re-activated the weapon, they would be able to defeat the orcs. The idea was sensible, so the three of them pledged to help them.

At last! Nordri succeeded in re-activating it! However, after the re-activation, the mountain started to collapse! Nordri sincerely asked for forgiveness to the fighters because of the possibility all of them would die. To their surprise, three Great Eagles came to save them!

All of them returned to the kingdom safely. Nordri proudly presented the fighters to the king. Nordri's father thanked them for rescuing his son and their kingdom. As they go along, Nordri and Gorin share how Agandaur cursed them of fiery doom. They suspected Agandaur associated with the dragon, Urgost. Luckily, the fighters were also looking for Agandaur. They vowed to help and to search for Urgost. Hence, Nordri suggested they go to Mirkwood and seek the aid of Radagast the Brown. The three fighters left immediately. Now, they knew where to find the dragon.

For the second time, Agandaur devised a scheme to defeat the kingdom. He sent his allies of orcs and goblins. Aside from them, he also asked the help of Uruk-hai, Men of Carn Dum, and Olog- hai to attack Nordinbad. They set up catapults and towers as a war strategy. Unfortunately, Bruni died in the battle.

After finding the dragon's den, the three fighters hurried up to rescue the kingdom from Agandaur's force. They instructed Nordri to hide with his people at the mountain. Beleram, an eagle, also helped them succeed in the battle but got wounded. Baranthor and Armenel, unfortunately, died. A lot of Nordri's fellowmen died in the war. He vowed to help Beleram recover from its injury. After its recovery, it flew and followed the three fighters to Carn Dum. Their goal was to defeat Agandaur.

The death of Sauron and Agandaur was the beginning of the Middle Earth Fourth Age. Nordri and his fellowmen restored the kingdom. After some time, Farin proudly shared with Gloin (a longbeard) about the goodness of the Nordinbad kingdom. Due to this, he got interested in conducting business with Nordri and with Erebor's dwarves. Now, King Thorin Stonehelm was governing the Erebor's dwarves.

After long years, Nordri, the Longbeard, reigned as the new king of Nordinbad. He wisely ruled the kingdom, and his fellowmen lived in perfect peace.
