The Land of Shadow
The Land of Shadow website initially described Seregost as Mordor's stronghold of the Mithram Gap, located on the south of Ash Mountain or Ered Lithui, in the Mithram Spur mountain range. In the north lies the Black Steed land, while on the east is the dust lands of Lithlad. During the Second Age, Sauron's servants, specifically Baradur's Black Uruks, fled to this desolate fortress to take refuge and await their Dark Lord's recovery. Seregost's lost ruins also served as the territory of Black Magic sorcerers working for the evil force.Seregost Road
Seregost road is a significant passage in Mordor. Although not many traverse the way, the Easterling troops frequently travel this path. The route takes one from Baradur into the Mithram Spur Gap (the Seregost fortress's position) and further to the East Road. The passage ends east towards Mordor's East Road, and the south leads to Caran Road.Middle-earth Shadow of War
In the Middle-earth Shadow of War game, Seregost is controllable in the gameplay upon invading Nurnern. It's also an imposing, icy expanse that's one of the most formidable sites in Mordor. It is because guard stations, numerous vile creatures, and evil foes surround the massive primary citadel. The game features Seregost as an area consistently covered in snow throughout the year. Sharp, elevated slope paths, winding treks, and glacial trails cover the lands. It is also piercing cold in Seregost even when it is near the fiery Mount Doom. But the glowing magma also reaches the territory where dark conjurers dwell. The region also has an icy lake, near the dwellings of the Caragors and Frost Graugs. Black Uruks inhabit the stronghold of KhargukĂ´r found within Seregost. These dark beasts may have originated in Seregost around the Great Years. There is a belief that Sauron created them as destructive forces against Ithilien. They occupied the place for hundreds of years after the fall of Sauron during the Second Age. The Olog-hai, a powerful type of troll, also developed from Seregost. The Lord of the Rings Online: Mordor
Location
In The Lord of the Rings Online, [1] Seregost is a tower fortress in the foul marshes in Agarnaith, located in the Plateau of Gorgoroth. It separates Mokál Rukh and central Agarnaith. It also stands upon the Chaydash river in Agarnaith's northeast territory. Seregost lies in Barad-dur's southeast and Mount Doom's east. There are no paths by land to Seregost, and one must fly to reach the stronghold. In the game's Gorgoroth invasion mission, there is a different route through Seregost's westside walls. The stronghold of Seregost is the capital and dwelling of the main enemy Lhaereth the Stained. She retains the tower and its territory with her servant creature, the Stained Merrevail. They also obstruct passage to the more dangerous Mokál Rukh (the destination after this mission). Surrounding the fortress is the Uruk protected watchtowers of Kala-gijak. Trolls and Orcs occupy the lesser fortification positioned on the south boundary of Seregost. Some players may have difficulty finding a way through the citadel, but these courses are discoverable with curiosity and creativity. There are two routes, the Watching Stones and the guarded entrance. The two Watching stones placed on both ends of the stronghold are secretly connected and not loyal to Lhaereth, the Stained. Enemies guard the entrance gate, but it is not too difficult to overcome. The Fortress of Selegost
The guarded gates from the east has only two Uruks watching over each of them. These gates lead to a corridor, midway through there are connecting passages to the east court, west court, and the citadel's main grounds. Right in the middle of the path is an entrance that opens only in the Secrets of Seregost. It leads to the Pits of Seregost, the dungeons where Lhaereth keeps her captives. The corridors go all the way to the Eastern and Western gardens, and both of the terraces have staircases leading to the next floor. The Overlook Terrace looks over the southwest at the extent of Agarnaith while the Mokál Rukh Terrace opens out to the northeast. The western Overlook terrace leads to the Court of Seregost, where the bosses and enemies reside.Poison and Plague of the Blood Fortress
Horrid beasts and creatures lurk in the marshes of Seregost, such as poisonous plants, toxic fungus, huorns, trolls, bats, and orcs. They were all defiled by the poison from the fortress and the contaminated waters released from it. The toxins from the tower of Selegost contaminated the bog and turned the ground into the color of blood. For this reason, they called it Seregost, which is Blood Fortress. Lhaereth The Stained, the Queen of the Seregost fortress, is a Morival follower of Sauron responsible for formulating toxins, potions, and plagues for the Dark Lord's schemes. The Great Plague induced by Sauron originated from the tower of Selegost and later spread on the eastern lands of Rhovanion and Rhun. Lhaereth stands in Selegost, waiting for her master's further commands to devise another plague that would ravage the inhabitants of Middle-earth.References
