Hair Dye, Cloning and General Epic Chaoticness

Welcome to the Chaotic RP of TTF! This is a fun, spontaneous, lighthearted, and most importantly, chaotic RP which is available to anyone who wishes to join. While our primary goal is to have fun, we have a few rules in order to keep some method to the madness.
  • Firstly, each character belongs to their respective TTF user. In other words, you can't write for a character if someone else has claimed that character. If you're new to the thread, please ask the group which characters are available before you claim one.
  • Even though this thread is chaotic and spontaneous, we do have a storyline going. If you're new to the thread, please read the most recent few pages, or more, so you're caught up on what's going on.
  • Make sure to interact with other people's characters. Don't just go off and write your own thing without interacting with anybody.
  • Don't completely ignore or change the storyline.
  • At the same time, please be flexible if someone introduces a new turn of the plot. This is not a carefully planned RP, and it needs to have flexibility for any chaotic new thing someone comes up with (within reason-- it does need to connect to the main story at least loosely).
  • If you are writing for multiple characters, use a script format to indicate which character is speaking. Use asterisks* to denote action. For example:
    • Maitimo: *tries to shake Celeraccoon off his arm* STOP BITING ME, TYELKO!
  • Try to keep spam to a minimum. I would define "spamming" in this thread as writing more than a page over the course of a few hours. (This can be a tough one to follow, I know.) But spamming makes it hard for other people to keep up.
  • At the same time, if you're going to be absent for an extended period of time, we recommend writing your character out temporarily (such as having them disappear or go somewhere) so other people can continue while you're gone.
That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to ask!

just because Laurinalotë has taken up residence in my hair, that does NOT make it a catch-all for... for garbage!
Wait a minute!! How does my being here relate to garbage?!

Fautuatar: Ho-ho-ho! You just got compared to rubbish!

Yavanna: Now, now, Santa.

I am always prepared.
*pulls out some olive oil from a pocket on his belt*
It's not the machine oil bottle, don't worry.
Well that's good...

Thank you. Would you pour me some? *he can't pour anything into his own hand, not with any degree of control at least*

Ope, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that! The gum's garbage, not you. If anything you ought to be asking Tyelko how he made that connection.

*gritted teeth*
w h y e l s e do you think I carry olive oil with me?
You are wisely prepared, brother...

*happily rubs his sticky chocolatey hands on Curvo's hair*
And for this, you need some soap.
What are you, five?

Yavanna: And you are only so many millenia.

Fautuatar: Honey, now you just sound ancient.

*Yavanna gives him a look and slaps his arm.* And you are not? You are the only bearded Vala! Ulmo's foam-beard counts not.

*applies oil to Nelyo's hair and manages to unstick and untangle the gum with no uncomfortable yanking, truly earning his name of 'skilled Finwë'*
*applies oil to his own hair and tugs out the gum with considerably less patience, because it's 'just pain' and he shares Fëanor's 'just do it' tendencies sometimes*

What about ulmo? I thought he has a wavy beard too.
*Happy with the pun he's just made*
Did I not just say his does not count?

Laurinalótë: Tyelko does not use his ears.

Fautuatar: That's another thing not in my gift bag.

Laurinalótë: Stop reverse spoiling!

Ah, thanks bro. *he can detangle his own hair to an extent but, needless to say, it's much easier if someone else does it*

(OOC: Have I done experiments to see what can and can't be done with one hand? Yes, yes I have. Braiding, no. Detangling, yes.)

*visibly winces* Yikes, Curvo, no wonder you've got some gnarly split ends!

Fautuatar: There's a reason I gave you your present early?

Laurinalótë: You'll have to excuse him. He's used to single-handedly taking care of things. *Coughs*

I'll still need to wash the oil out later. That... stuff. Will be washed out at the same time.
I'd very much like to wash my hair too. There's still Pityo spit in it...

Wait... I thought that was just for aesthetics. You know, to make people less freaked out, give me the ability to wear two gloves and all that. There's no way I can actually control it like a real hand, right?

(Just off the top of my head [hehe], I am unable to try it myself, but I expect braiding could be possible if you laid your head on a table, with your hair stretched out on the table, separated into three groups. Then you might be able to use one hand to lay one group of hair in between the other two, then keep on going [the table 'holds them still' for you]. You will need to do it by feel, since you won't be able to look at your hair while you're laying your head on the table. And the braid will only be a simple one. But perhaps it could work with practice.)

(Love your proper use of brackets.)
