I mean this one was always just the “joke and meme thread” and people sort of auto aligned it to Tolkien only, but it’s definitely open to be a mixed bag
Erm, not quite ...

Bro really went back to pages 8-9 to get proof.

Season 2 Nana GIF by Nanalan''
Actually, back to page 3, and up to 10 ...
Ah yes, the wild and halcyon days of my "TTF-youth", just over a month after joining ... 😊 ... and a "retiree-pup", at 63 ... 🫣
... and I was quite involved in the back-and-forth that led to the thread's current name, so it stuck in memory.

At midnight in the museum hall/ The fossils gathered for a ball./ There were no drums or saxophones/ But just the clatter of their bones,/ A rolling, rattling, carefree circus/ Of mammoth polkas and mazurkas./ Pterodactyls and brontosauruses/ Sang ghostly prehistoric choruses./ Amid the mastadonic wassail/ I caught the eye of one small fossil./ “Cheer up, sad world,” he said, and winked./ “It’s kind of fun to be extinct.” Ogden Nash. Camped on a tropic river side, one day he missed his loving bride. She had, the guide informed him later, been eaten by an alligator. Professor Twist could not but smile. “You mean,” he said, a crocadile.”

There once was a fellow from Lyme
Who married three wives at a time
When asked, why the third?
He replied, one's absurd
