Drawing Maitimelia's Doodles

20240605_153902.jpg

POV: Maitimo and Aranya being photographed at "normal people height."

This is my OC, Aranya, next to Maitimo.

Fair enough, practice anything long enough and it becomes second nature.
I don't know if you saw the thread where I posted my huge 18x24 drawing of Maedhros. But there's a post in there where I show an old drawing I made when I was 13, compared to what I can do now. It represents over 10 years of learning and practice.

Wow! The improvement is fantastic! The first is still better than anything I could draw... 🤣

Behold, THE KNORK™️.
20240612_174947.jpg

Just a silly little comic illustrating how some thoughtless servants forgot about Maedhros' handicap and put a fork and knife on either side of his plate, when they should have put out his handy Knork™️, which Curufin invented for him. And Curufin, meanwhile, forgot that Normal People are currently eating dinner, so he's busy tinkering with his invention and trying to improve it.

Also, @Server Room Gremlin made an actual, functional design for The Knork™️, which makes much more sense than my sloppy concept, so I might have to redraw this at some point.

Easy enough: The version in your drawing was the original design for the Knork, and Curvo improved upon it to create the version Servo made, making things even easier for Maitimo.

As it should be.

"What have I done." (Henru Wu, Chief Geneticist, Jurassic Park series, after engineering modified locusts released on the world.)
Thought we young'uns wouldn't understand the Who's On First reference? 😂

But actually though, I'm not sure what about my drawing or its discussion prompted you to make that reference. But I just went with it. 😂

It was actually stuff amid the responses. Curufin made it, you drew it, Curvo improved it, Servo made the improved version, it was easier for Maitimo," and somehow in all that nobody actually ate anything because forks and spoons were on the table at the plate still.

All I could think of was "who's on first."

I think you got the spirit of the comic, then. 😂

Maitimo could have eaten it with his bare hand, but he's too gentlemanly (gentle-elfly?) for that.

You did mention the Knork having some kind of 'slidey action', which I took into account when thinking about how it would work. Though the type of 'sliding' turned out different.
